Biography

Aubree Willis, from San Antonio, Texas is currently a Senior at Texas State University pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with emphasis in Performance and Choreography. She started her dance journey in high school at the start of freshman year and was a member of her school's pep squad for two years, then dance team for the remaining two years. With that, she learned jazz, modern, pom, lyrical, contemporary routines as well as learning the basic fundamentals.
She then attended Northwest Vista College and was a member of the Repertory Dance Ensemble where she trained and learned from various teachers and guest choreographers. Such as Brittany Lopez, Jayne King, Jaiquan Laurencin, Erika Record-Sparks, and Ciceley Fullylove. They got to tour to high schools, have location-based dances, do community service, and have an end of semester show called “Dance@Vista”.
Thus transferring to Texas State, Aubree has appreciated gaining more dance knowledge and experience from her professors here. She choreographed a piece called “on the inside” for her fall BFA Showcase, Introspective. She also performed in Alexzandria Turley’s piece “The Ferryman’s Endless Travel” and in the Spring Choreographers’ Showcase 2022, in Nyssa Rosillo's dance “Decisions”.
Outside of school, Aubree has started her commercial performance career, first at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, where she danced and acted at for five years, including being apart of “The Majesty of Christmas” show, and is currently employed at SeaWorld San Antonio achieving the same goals. She recently performed this Halloween season in their seasonal show “Monster Stomp”.
Aubree wants thank all her family, friends, and teachers for all the experiences and efforts for her dance career and couldn’t do it without them.
